With careful calculation and re-calculation, it has been determined that Gary A. Baier squeaked out a win in the first annual NFL Playoff Fantasy Football challenge by a margin of 0.60. Such a close win makes up for my 0.80 point loss in Dylan Gillett's league. If it wasn't for three sacks by the Steelers' defense and Rodgers finding Greg Jennings in the endzone twice in Super Bowl XLV, the winnings would have undoubtedly gone to Raymond Doria.
So without further ado, Congratulations to myself for winning the first annual NFL Playoff Fantasy Football challenge!
Also, congratulations to Raymond Doria for finishing as the runner-up, a position in the standings that will allow him to keep his participation fee!
By the way, what are the odds that the creator of the league wins? 12.5%? Before everyone throws a hissy fit, feel free to calculate the scoring yourself. Despite the accurate calculations, I do feel a little guilty. The most important thing that each of you need to realize at this point is that you are depressed not due to the loss of your participation fee, but to the loss of football until next September.
My sincere thank you to all who participated. Hopefully you will come back next year!
P.S. I still have yet to receive some of your participation fees. Let's arrange a time or way to make that happen. Thank you!

Conference Title Games Are Complete, Where Are You In the Standings?
Well, with only the Super Bowl left, two managers appear to have a chance at winning. Matt Forte assisted yours truly in climbing to the top but without a quarterback next weekend, all may be lost. Rodgers will be the determining factor. If Rodgers and Jennings maintain their love affair, this thing may be over; however, if Jennings turns in a Super Bowl performance similar to Wildcard Weekend, Raymond will find himself at the top looking down. Anyone got money on who will win this thing?

The Divisonal Round Has Concluded...
With the conclusion of the Divisional round, you will find that it is getting tight at the top of the standings. Tom Brady didn't produce the way some of us hoped. It was a moral conflict for me, personally. Most of you have to admit that you enjoyed every single hit he took yesterday. In the next two weeks, Santonio Holmes, Dustin Keller, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Forte, and Ben Roethlisberger appear be the difference makers that will determine whether Raymond, Gary A., Gary D., or Dylan take down the pot
With the Packers vs. Bears game at 3:00 and the Jets vs. Steelers game at 6:30 next Sunday, January 23, be sure to check back here Monday morning for the results. Some of us can only hope for the injury bug to bite some of the top performing players... cough, Aaron Rodgers, cough.

It's Heating Up!
After Saturday's action, there have been major shakeups in the standings. With Aaron Rodgers' all-star performance, a few managers have found themselves moving up in the rankings, while those with no remaining quarterbacks are drowning in the basement. Check back after this afternoon's contests to see how Tom Brady has affected the standings. There's bound to be a showdown in 'Boro-town.

Wildcard Weekend Has Concluded
With the conclusion of Wildcard weekend, comes some major alterations in the current standings. Be sure to check out the "Rosters and Scores" page to get all your updates. If you're toward the bottom this week, know that with each game some major reseeding is occurring, so don't feel too discouraged.
Also, please note that if I do not have your money in hand at this time, we need to arrange a way for you to get that to me before another week passes.

Scores From Saturday, January 8 Are Updated
Under the "Rosters and Scores" tab, you will find updated scores from Saturday, January 8. The players who have been eliminated have lines through them. I do apologize for the crumby formatting, but there is simply no way that I can fix that. Good luck today!
"I have seen women walk right past a TV set with a football game on and - this always amazes me - not stop to watch, even if the TV is showing replays of what we call a 'good hit,' which is a tackle that causes at least one major internal organ to actually fly out of a player's body." - Dave Berry

Rosters Are Set!
With only 60 minutes remaining until the kickoff the 2010 season playoffs, all rosters are set! For those of you who have been visiting the blog frequently, you may now notice that a few changes have been made to the blog:
“I feel like I'm the best, but you're not going to get me to say that.” - Jerry Rice
- At the top of the page, you will see that there is now a bar containing tabs with links to different pages. The rules and guidelines have been moved to a separate page, while another page was created to view all rosters and track scoring for all teams.
- Additionally and most importantly, a standings sidebar has been created on the right side of the blog. This will be viewable from any page.
- Least importantly, you may notice that there are two different blog feeds at the bottom of each page for NFL.com and ProFootballTalk.com to use as you feel necessary.
